Some of the ivies and other schools I am looking at suggest that you take 4 years of a foreign language. Is it a major no-no to not have? I have only taken 2 years of Spanish.

Most, if not all colleges want you to take 4 years of English and high school requires 4 English credits to graduate.

My situation is that I took English Fresh./Soph. years and I am taking Dual-Enrollment English as a Junior. This Junior course is worth 2 English credits and covers 2 years worth of material.

My senior schedule would be

AP US Gov/econ
AP Environmental
Physics Honors
AP Calc BC online(FLVS)
DE Financing Electives online
** DE British Lit./Women in Lit. at the college campus **

I really would rather take AP Comp. Science instead of that english class at the campus, which is far, and there are no other english classes at my school

I want to major in engineering anyways, do colleges actually want 4 years or just 4 credits of English? Thanks!
