Well, I just got my PSAT score and really was hoping for National Merit Semi-Finalist, but I guess life goes on. I was just wondering if anyone knows the cut-off for Texas for this, what benefits it might have and when we will find out about it and what we might have to do. I scored a 209 so I'm hoping that I will at least get that since the Texas cut-off for National Merit is usually quite a bit higher than that (around 215 to 217).

Some schools will offer you scholarships, for me it was texas a&m. i found out in about october of senior year, and you don't have to do anything. i didn't even know about NHRP when my gc told me i was a finalist. also, keep your gpa up in order to be a finalist
