Questions About HYPW Financial Aid (Please Help)

I've received financial aid information from NYU Stern and noticed how they generously wrote 53,000 but then there was a catch, of that 20,000 were to be federal loans. I was wondering if colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and University of Pennsylvania are more generous with their financial aid, meaning they won't burden a student with 20,000 of federal loan when the student's family makes less than 30,000 per year? Princeton I think has a policy where loans are replaced as grants, does Harvard, Yale, or University of Pennsylvania offer similar packages? Thanks for answering this!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes the Ivies do have better aid for low income

btw, there is no such thing as 20K in federal loans for 1 year of education

And if your family makes what you said, your parents won't have to pay a dime for your undergraduate education at HYP. You'll just have to work a little or use outside scholarships to pay your meager student contribution. No loans for you! Good luck on getting in though.

Thanks. There was about 17000 in Federal Related Loans and 4000 Work Study Related Stuff, I would have taken a loan out on the work study as well so I considered it more of a loan than what you would call aid. At the very least, I would have had 68k to 84k worth of debt after graduating thanks to their generosity. Thank god I got into an Ivy. I thought something was wrong with my FAFSA and Profile, because asking a student with little to no income to be in 60k+ debt after college is a little rough. Funny how I was at the tippy-top of applicants applying there probably and still got such a meager financial aid. Thanks for the information everyone, it is calming because I thought maybe I would be paying the same thing for the Ivies when my EFC is less than $1000.
