Questions about international students & McGill

Hi, I'm currently attending an international school in Asia (it's actually a local school but has an American program). Most students here prepare for American colleges so we do APs, take SATs and everything.

I have a Canadian citizenship and actually spent most of my childhood in Canada, so I'm thinking of returning for college. I've heard most of the things that people say when comparing the US and Canada. I still have some questions about international admission to McGill in particular, which is my first choice Canadian college:

Is tuition based on where you come from or your citizenship status? ie. would I have to pay international or domestic tuition? My understanding is that I wouldn't have to pay international, but then there's also a distinction between out-of-province and Quebec. What is the standard for this?

How much FA is there at McGill & Canadian colleges in general, especially when compared to the US?

I heard that ECs and everything other than scores basically does not matter. My stats:
SAT CR 800 WR 780 M 760 (2340, one sitting)
SAT Math level 2 800 and I plan on taking 2 more this year
GPA 5.0 (/5.0) UW, which is all As so far (but I do admit inflation is kinda high at my school; it wouldn't really matter since no one else will be applying to a Canadian university)

I also have some APs which I hear don't affect admissions. How would my chances be, and what would I have to improve on? I checked the minimum scores on the site and my scores do surpass those; what does that mean in terms of my chances of getting in?

(Although this isn't the first time someone is asking this question) How is McGill's reputation abroad, especially for a major in the social sciences? If I wanted to work in the international development field, what would be the difference between an American and Canadian degree? I also heard about McGill's International Development program; what is this focused towards - economics? poli sci? Can anyone give me more information about this program and admissions?

Do ECs really not matter at all?

Thanks!

1-You would pay the out of province Canadian tuition rate. If you were born in Quebec you may qualify for the Quebec tuition rate, not certain though.

2-Not much financial aid compared to US schools but the cost is already much lower.

3-With those stats you will be admitted to even the most competitive programs. Are you in an American high school? If not, standards are different.

5-EC’s matter only if you are applying for a major merit scholarship (separate application),

Thanks for your response! Anyone else?

I second all the TomofBoston has posted. As far as McGill’s reputation abroad compared to U.S. universities, that is a difficult question to answer. All depends on which U.S. universities you are comparing it too.
