Questions about interviews

What are the questions the interviewer will ask for certain?

Does the interviewer know anything about before I have my interview? (grades? Ec's? Essays?)

There aren't any questions that they'll definitely ask, but there are some that are more popular. Ones that you can almost count on are things like "Why do you want to go to this school?" or something like that. I've also been asked to pick three qualities to describe myself.

There are a few websites that list some commonly asked interview questions. Just google it.

As for what they know... they only know what you show them. Sometimes you'll have to fill out an information sheet before the interview that has spaces for GPA, SAT scores, and ECs. Sometimes you don't. I usually bring a copy of my resume with me just incase they ask to see it, but they'll usually tell you to bring one if they definitely want to see it.

What I do before an interview is take out a blank sheet of notebook paper and list all the things that I want to address. I'll also write down the answers to some of those common questions. Even if I don't look at it at all, it's reassuring to know it's there. Also, write down questions that you have about the college. Be sure to have at least one or two; it makes you look interested.

Hope that helps.

definitely have questions for them prepared.
what they already know about you will depend on how far in the application process you are.
