If my dad completed his MBA from Ross (grad school) will that count as a legacy for me when I apply to college of engineering undergrad?

Another question- if I take guest courses at a local Community college, and the grades aren't counted in my high school gpa, will they still be taken into consideration for my application?

Thanks

2nd question, what I did was send the CC transcript to both the high school and UMich directly. Probably the adcoms only saw the “CR” on high school transcript, but i don’t know.

Anyone know about the legacy??

It will count as a legacy but being a legacy doesn’t count for much. At best it tips a candidate who is on the fence.

Yes your CC grades will be looked at. And yes that will be legacy but it is irrelevant. 500K living alumni and plenty more dead, everyone knows someone who went to UMich.

Based on speaking to an admissions counselor they do want to hear about legacy though. Unfortunately my great uncle does not count but my mom who completed dental hygiene school does (: so put it on your app and best of luck!

It does not matter which program (undergrad or grad) your parent attended. Either way, you will be counted as legacy. That being said, most universities today, Michigan included, do not place that much weight on legacy status.
