Questions about legacy at UPenn?

Just a few quick questions about legacy.

First of all, how much does legacy really matters? Does it make your application for distinguished?

Does legacy only include intermediate family members? Four uncles of mine are UPenn alumnis and I have two cousins that graduated from UPenn as well

Only immediate family members, I think.

Keep in mind that Penn only gives legacy weight in the ED round. It doesn't count for anything regular decision.

really percy? even deferred legacy's don't get consideration in the RD round if they still express interest in the school?

they way the see it is if your legacy and you arn't sure enough to apply ED, than you shouldn't get any special preference when you apply RD. It actually might work against you if you are legacy and apply RD...

John N, only parents and grandparents who have graduated from Penn count:

"What is a legacy?
Children and grandchildren of all University of Pennsylvania degree recipients are considered legacies during the undergraduate admissions process."

Also, you don't get extra credit if more than one parent or grandparent are alumni:

"Does it help if I have multiple family members who have attended Penn?
You are considered a legacy whether you have one alumni parent/grandparent or several."
