Questions about Letts for those who lived there

What is the Letts Terrace floor like? I know AU Housing uses the word “terrace” as a euphemism for “basement”, but any additional first-hand information would be nice. Are all the rooms on that floor tripled or are there doubles there?

Also, what are the room numbers on that floor? For example, is it 014 or just 14? The posted floor plan indicates the latter, but according to someone on the Anderson Terrace the numbers there are the former and perhaps it’s actually the same with Letts.

As the title states, I’m interested in hearing from people who have actually lived in Letts Hall, not just rumors and reputation. I’ve also read enough about the 2007 flooding (all my Google searches for “letts terrace” led to articles about it), so not here about that either.

I lived in Letts my freshman year, but I wasn’t on the terrace. However, I did have some friends in Anderson terrace and visited them. My friends were all in doubles, but I’m not sure how Letts.

Terraces on south side often look out to the quad and any plants growing near the ground of the building. You still get a share of sunlight and a view, even though it isn’t one most expect from a window. I’m not sure about the numbers on the building, but I think they were 014 format last I went there?

In regards to the flooding, I would suggest putting valuables (e.g. cameras, external hard drives, etc) into the cabinet above the closet. It also has metal handles with a hole that allow you to insert a lock (like a locker). This would keep it away from the ground floor and hopefully water damage. I personally do this myself and it gives me peace of mind, especially when my roommate and I accidentally left our door unlocked. If there is something extremely valuable you are worried about, like a fancy DSLR camera, you might want to look into insurance? It sometimes isn’t that expensive. Homeowner’s insurance from your parents amy even cover your laptop.
