I'm a chemistry major and I have orientation on July 6-8. I'm kind of nervous because it seems like everybody knows what classes they're going to sign up for already and I have no clue what classes I'm going to sign up for. Can somebody help me out? I'm also a TIP Scholar.

Hey, same orientation date as me! You should be able to find out what classes you need for your major and such on the UT website.
This looks like it to me:

[Degree Plans in Active Catalogs](http://cns.utexas.edu/academics/degrees-majors/current-degree-checklists)

As for specific classes, planning out your sched, and prof picking I used MyEdu.com , but I’m not really sure if its accurate/reliable.

Thank you very much! Hope to see you at orientation!

make sure you study 24/7 for chemistry because it is very hard to do well in that class unless you spend every single second of your life on chem

Try to get into a FIG; you’ll have a better chance of getting into classes at all.
Not sure if this is current:
[College of Natural Sciences FIGs | School of Undergraduate Studies](http://www.utexas.edu/ugs/fig/college/brochures/cns)

ilovetexas11111,

What was your experience with Chemistry prior to UT? The reason I ask is kids from my D’s high school who have their first year under their belts, never mentioned a struggle with Chemisty. And is this OChem or just first year Chem you are speaking of?
