Questions about Nominations

To request a nomination packet from Vice President, did you request it by sending a letter? Because there is a form attached on his site, but I don't know if that form is to request a nomination packet, or the actual nomination packet.

Peteyflow:

If you go to the site below, you will find a 4 page document that contains the Vice Presidential nomination information with the actual 2 page application. Fill this out, make copies, mail it in and you're good to go.

Good Luck

yeah that's the form I'm talking about. SO I just fill that out, and I don't even need to send them recommendations along with it or sat scores?

That is correct. The VP office will use the file info that you sent to the academy(s) that you are applying to. You do not send any recs or test scores, etc to the V.P.--Just the application.

For congressional nominations, should you send your info (test scores, extra cirriculars, etc.) to them in the request?

Follow the directions that your senator/congressman usually has detailed on his/her website. It is not the norm to send all of your resume details with your request for an application packet. Test scores are often requested directly from the collegeboard or ACT. Details about extracurriculars are usually sent in with the completed application packet.
Good luck.

When you take your SATs/ACTs, have your nomination sources listed as people you want your scores sent to.

Your request letter is a request for their forms. When you get those forms, include all relevant information.

to what address should we send the vice-presidential nomination?

I have a question. When does West Point send out the application packet, fitness assessment form, and medical form and all that? Is there like a specific date? Or do they send out as soon as I meet the requirement on my candidate file.

The official application packets usually go out in August.

The DODMERB form will come separately from the application packet - if you attend SLS and your file is up to date, it could arrive as early as late June/early July.
