Questions about Northeastern!?

First off, I love the city of Boston and I'm dead set on going there for college. Northeastern is my first choice.

I want to be a lawyer and I was wondering if anyone else with the same aspirations as me can give me a little look into the process that I would have to go through at Northeastern.
-What majors are you taking?
-What majors do recommend?
-Is there a "Pre-Law" program?
I also wanted to major in International Business and minor in Legal Studies. I want to be a corporate lawyer and I would love to have a job that causes me to travel.
-Is this a reasonable combination?
-Is there any other combination that you would recommend?

I also want to know what don't you like about Northeastern? And which Freshman resident halls are the best besides the Honors Program halls? What ways can I make myself more desirable to Northeastern?

I need help. I want to go into college with a plan. I love the city of Boston but I want to make sure I am making the right decisions.

This sounds REALLY corny and cliche, but you should take the major that you want to take. I've heard that the major that you choose doesn't really matter for Law School. As long as you have a high GPA and LSAT score, regardless of major, then you're set to go.

they do have a pre-law program there but i would take something else b/c you can apply to law school with a degree in like any major

The best route would be a major in either English, History, Philosophy -- basically, any major in which you have to read alot, because that's what law school is all about. If you're thinking of NU Law, I know it has a great reputation amongst Boston law firms.

Good luck!

Yeah, I've been told the same about pre-law. Major in something you enjoy and that you are passionate about, not something that you think funnels directly into law school. A lot of law schools want a variety of students, not thousands of Legal Studies majors.

ya you could do history, English and communications is good too. id stay away from the pre-law just in case you decide you don't want to do law you have a degree to fall back on.

OMG! i want to do the same exact thing. thats really creepy. everything you just deaid. Love boston. NEU no 1. corporate law.

i actually plan to major in Business undergrad with a "prelaw" or poly-sci track. ill decide if i like law or business better and then graduate school for the one i decide. If law doesn't work out ill have business to fall back on.

good luck to us both ;]

early action?

Wow, that's pretty cool. I'm only a junior now. So next year I'm definitely applying early action.

Thanks too everyone that replied too.
But I was wondering what else you can tell me about Northeastern! Like the inside scoop haha, I've researched the school thoroughly but I feel like I'm missing parts of the college.
