Has getting into NYU Engineering become harder since the merger? Also, has the campus become bigger and better? One last question, are the NYU Engineering students treated on par with the manhattan students and can engineering students take up courses in other schools?
Anybody?
Bump… I really need this…
Please…
Applications to Poly increased by 30% this year so it’s getting competitive. It’ll probably get even harder over the next few years.
The campus buildings recently got renovated as well.
Yes, you can minor at other NYU schools.
NYU Poly students have access to everything that Manhattan students have so yes, they are treated equally.
However, I don’t know how the other students treat Poly students. The fact that the campus is in Brooklyn would definitely make it harder to bond.
Are poly students looked down upon by the manhattan based students?
No idea. I just got accepted so I guess I’ll find out soon enough
Anyone has data on the acceptance rate?
Someone? Please someone has to know?
There has definitely been an increase in applications for NYU Poly since the merger and which is why there has been a decrease in the acceptance rate. The campus has become bigger where students at Poly can take classes on the Washington Square Campus and vice versa. Poly has also acquired another building which will be undergoing construction over the next few years. One thing you will notice about Poly is that there is always some part of it always under construction. Personally, I have been involved in a club on the Manhattan campus and other students always come ask me to fix their computers. Poly is such a small school and we are seen like another country but in a way that comes in a good stigma like being smart and our course load is harder than those in the other schools.
Hopes this helps!
Is it possible to take Cross-school Majors within NYU, if I am good academically. If so, what is the process to apply for majors in other schools?
