<p>Can someone please tell me any specifics about taking classes at Wellesly:D.</p>
<p>Like who can take classes there, what type of classes I can take etc...</p>
<p>If anyone has taken classes there I would also appreciate it if he/she told me about the environment there. :D</p>
<p>An engineering college like Olin should advertise in its brochures "WE'RE RIGHT NEXT TO 2300 GIRLS, THAT'S A 7:1 RATIO!" Haha...</p>

<p>The other questions about the athletic center etc can wait until I get to go to Candidates Weekend if I get accepted...I just figured it'll be weird if I asked them that question there...</p>
<p>Any Olin student can cross register at Wellesley after first semester freshman year. Wellesley offers a wide range of classes (<a href="http://www.wellesley.edu/Courses/home.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.wellesley.edu/Courses/home.html</a>) in history, art, biology, math, music, ect.</p>
<p>I took 3 classes at Wellesley while I was there. As a girl, I found it strange to be in an all-girl class, which did not ever happen to me at Olin. I also had some Olin boys in a Wellesley class and it went pretty well. Generally, Wellesley students care about their classes and work hard to do well. They are also generally smart. There is an ongoing debate at Wellesley among the students about the pros and cons of having boys in their classes (Olin, Babson, and MIT students can cross-register there). Some of the students feel that having a boy in the class upsets the balance and hurts girls learning. So, while it is not common, it is possible for boys to feel some uncomfortably from a classmate. But I don't think any of the guys have had any major problems.</p>
<p>Obviously Olin does not advertise its proximity to the all-girls school in the manner you have suggested since Olin is looking to attract talented, well-rounded students interested in engineering not simply people interested in convenient access to all-girls schools. </p>
<p>I don’t mean to be rude, but I would also like say that generally I have found your posts on this website to be a bit arrogant sounding. I could be misunderstanding because it is written and not spoken, but I suggest that you make sure you appear earnest rather than arrogant in your essays and interviews or it may hurt your chances of getting into Olin.</p>
<p>In general, Olin students have had great experiences at Wellesley finding the students pleasant to be around, the teachers helpful, and the classes enjoyable and/or challenging.</p>
<p>If I get rejected for appearing arrogant then obviously that certain college wouldn't be the right "fit" for me. :D</p>
<p>Rest assured however, that I won't tune it down, not even at Candidates Weekend. If they reject me, I'll make sure they're rejecting the real me. And viceversa if I'm accepted.</p>
