So I'm going to orientation on july 26th. It says on the ucsb website that people going earlier to orientation dont get priority when signing up for classes, but someone told me that it's not true and that the later you go, the less classes you will have to sign up for. Can someone shed some light on this and explain how exactly that works?

UCSB saves class space for later orientations for the classes that are typically taken by freshmen.

ok thanks. That’s what I read but I heard from someone it wasn’t like that so I wanted to know for sure how it was.

no worries. even if you dont get the classes you want at orientation, you can always crash and/or talk to the prof to get he add codes to get in later…
