Hello all!
I am involved in a lot of things and I am the GC of 2016 from HS. I’ve been trying to find out if working during senior year is really what I want to do. Some say “you wont have time”, but others claim (including my sibling) said it’s possible, but you must remain on top of your priorities + classes + Standaried testing + 7 AP classes/homework. I think I can do it. I have been working since sophmore year. Working has really given me the outlet to attend to someone else’s needs and relieves some anxiety/stress. I average 10-15 hours per week, which in my opinion is the same amount of time my friends who do not have jobs spend time with friends. Just a side note, if I do plan on quitting I want to save as much as possible this summer: I have a $3k internship and my current job. Senior year has many expenses (socially) all applications are covered by my fee waivers. I do not work to provide for my family.
So my questions are:
Does working during senior year have a negative affect?
If so, why?
If not, what would you do if you were in my position? Keep working, pick up less work, quit before I start senior year?
Thank you
