<p>Hey guys! I am new student in UCLA. After seeing Calendars:</a> Academic & Administrative 2011-2012, I wonder whether "Quarter ends Friday, December 9" marks the beginning of winter break. If so, then I can leave campus on 10? Then what about the Christmas holidays? Are they just a part of the winter break?</p>
<p>You can leave campus as soon as you finish your last final. You do not need to wait until the administrative end date of the quarter.</p>
<p>Christmas/New Years holidays are both subsumed into winter break.</p>
<p>If you want to stay on the 10th you’ll need to sign up for a Saturday stay over (signs will go up near the end of the quarter), otherwise you can leave whenever you’re done.</p>
<p>You come back when classes start in winter quarter.</p>
