So I'm applying to Ross preferred admit (if i get in great, if not i'll just apply during freshmen year and hope for the best) and I was wondering, is it extremely difficult and time consuming compared to, say an English major? Or something similar? Is there not alot of time for other things or is it basically the same workload as if i were pursuing another major? I want to enjoy myself in college, party alot, go to the football games, hockey games, frat parties, get hammered, etc. but if I'm going to be trying to manage a huge workload, then I'd rather just pursue a different major and then apply for a Masters business program after I graduate. Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks :)

It is probably difficult, but you can manage it…Just imagine all the kids in it right now - im sure most are living a good college life

If you want to be one of the best (top 10%) you will have no time for that. You will have almost no life. If you don’t care and do all that you listed above all the time, expect to be in the bottom 10%.

This is what business students specialize in. But to get ahead of the competition, just work your ass off for internships and job opportunities.

The program is quite competitive and some of the courses are difficult but you won’t need to sell your football tickets.

as a ross student in the top 10% (got beta gamma sigma after junior year) who is also pretty involved in extracurriculars, i can assure you this is incorrect. i dont sleep much though, which might have something to do with it.

I might have been exaggerating a bit, but there’s not a lot of time to party if you want to be at the top, unless you’re a genius or have a photographic memory. Definitely not about 4 nights a week, which is what the op sounded like. Unless you only want to sleep 3 hours a night.
