Questions about SAT I and II

I've heard different things about this, so I was wondering... Do the top colleges(HYPMS) see how many times you've taken the SAT I or II's, or do they just take the highest score. For instance, is someone who took the SAT I 3 times and got a 2300 better off than someone who took it once and got a 2250? Same scenario goes for SAT II's.

Also, I've heard it is better to take more than 3 SAT II's for top colleges like Harvard if you think you can get around 750+'s on them. Is there a limit to how many SAT II's you can show on your app, is it somewhere around 6 or something?

Thanks for the replies.

They see how many times you take it.

Correct. So let's say you bomb SAT Chinese because you're white/black and decided that you were a genius that could learn from the test.

You "could" then perhaps if your strengths are other things sides Chinese, you take 6 random tests. Physics/Bio/Chem you get my drift. They would not be able to see you took 7. Of course, you COULD mention it, but a 200 on Chinese wouldn't exactly help.

It probably depends on how each college is. Most say they only take the highest score, but a 2250 the first time around is rather impressive. Often most of these things can be figured out with common sense how an applicant would feel.
