Hello,

I was just wondering what I'm being tested on in SAT II Math level 1 and 2, I'm aiming to get at least a 500 on it. I was wondering if that would be possible since my SAT I math was only 650, so it wasn't that good. I'm also going to self-study SAT II Math level 1 and 2, so I'm looking for tips on websites for that as well :D Thanks!

The level of the material is pretty easy- up to Geometry/Alg II

The main reason why the SAT Subject Math tests are difficult is that there are several “trick” questions; some questions are easily misinterpreted and incorrectly answered.

Honestly, the best way for Math 2 is to take as many practice tests as you can. I took about 6 tests and got an 800 :)

Good luck! Don’t let previous results hinder your path

Math I - Easier material (through geometry/algebra II) but tougher curve
Math II - Tougher material (through precalculus) but easier curve (~7 wrong can still be an 800; as a result, an 800 falls in the 83rd percentile of test-takers)

I never took Math I, but I found Barron’s quite helpful for Math II (even though the tests are tougher and some of the material is unnecessary).

I see. Thanks for the info :D

Also, a 500 is a low score on Math II, given your current SAT score, and the scoring curve. Aim for 700-750+.
