Questions about SAT Submission?

Hi there!

I am rising senior and am applying early action/decision to colleges this fall. I just have two questions (which have been already answered but I'd like a little more detail please)

How are scores submitted to colleges? Are they submitted independently by collegeboard via the "score reports"? Since you get four for every SAT, does that mean if you apply to twenty schools -- you have to pay for 16 score reports? How does this process work? A detailed answer or a link to an answer would be super helpful!

If I take the SAT in October or November, the scores come out dangerously close or pass the early action/decision deadline of November 1st. How is this submitted to colleges? A detailed response would also be appreciated!

Basically, I'm pretty confused about the whole SAT thing. Thank you so much for taking your time to answer my questions!

Note: Sorry I already posted this on the SAT forum

Hey! I was kind of confused with the same issue.

Yes you are suppossued to pay for the extra 16 schools, its on the web.

You send your resutls through the sat web, you log in, enter the code number for each school and send em away.

You can find out if your SAT scores will appear on your hs transcripts. Apparently some colleges accept “scores on transcripts” and others (eg Cornell) don’t and want scores from the collegeboard, which instruction may appear on the application or the website for the individual school.
