Is it true that collges pick the best scores from SATs?
I heard that colleges don't pick best scores, if you take more than 2 times.
What happens if you take more than twice?
How does writing section impacts the colleges(what are they going to use this section?)

Most colleges will mix and match your highest scores from each section to create the highest possible score.

Many colleges take the best composite score ("mix and match" as pointed out above.) It depends, but usually the difference between the best composite score and best sitting is negligible.

Taking the SAT so many times that, as one admissions counselor put it, it "becomes an extracurricular activity", does not reflect well. Each time you take the test, you owe it to yourself to prepare adequately; otherwise you're not only wasting time but blowing an opportunity to improve your standing.

Frenetic is right on.

Prep so you don't have to keep retaking.
