I'm currently filling out the FLEOA Foundation scholarship, but there are a few things that I'm not sure about (I emailed them yesterday, and I am currently waiting for a response).

When it asks me to "Attach SAT transcript Score", how does it want me to provide this? Do I need to send them a score report through the College Board website (I checked, but there wasn't an option for my scholarship), can I simply print out what it states on the website, or is it supposed to be on another piece of paper (such as my high school transcript)?

It also claims that it wants a high school transcript with class ranking, but the one I ordered didn't provide that information. Do I have to go back to my school and ask for that specifically?

For my AP classes, should I provide a copy of the score report the College Board sent me?

Finally, it asks me to "include a letter acknowledging Awards/Services etc.". Could someone please explain exactly what I need to do for this?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Bump.

If you aren’t sure about the answers to these questions, could you at least point me in the right direction for who to ask? I’ve tried a few different sources, but none have come through so far.

I helped my son with scholarship applications this year. Although he didn’t apply for the same one, he did have to provide similar documentation for many. I would photocopy your SAT score report from the College Board and attach that. I would go back to your high school and request another transcript with the required information on it. Make sure they give it to you in a sealed envelope with a signature across the back. Attach that to your application. For your AP classes, photo copy the score report sent to you by the college board and attach that. The last one is interesting. If it were me, I would go to my guidance counselor at the high school with this and ask for her/his recommendation on how best to satisfy this requirement. You can do that at the same time you are getting your transcript. I hope this helped…

I think we were able to go to the College board website and print off the page that showed his scores. That worked for one application just fine. But email the scholarship folks and ask specifically if that is ok.

I would say , yes, you do have to trek back to the school registrar and get the class ranking. If the registrar says the school does not rank, then have her email that to the scholarship staff or provide you with a letter that you can enclose. The registrar should get requests like this all the time, so it should not be a big deal (you may have to provide an addressed, stamped envelope to the registrar).

I have sat on scholarship review committees on a couple of occasions. Here’s what happens BEFORE any essays are read: the staff/volunteers go through and see what applications are complete. No class rank – application voided. No SAT scores – ditto. Only AFTER all the criteria are met, does the application get moved into the reading phase.

So, a couple things to take away from this: you have to do all the details. All of them. Also, many kids won’t. They will get hung up on stupid stuff like you are (for the moment), so if you DO get all the details conquered, you will be one of the few. Hooray! Get going!.

Thanks for your help! I recently received a reply from the scholarship people, which helped to further clear up some of my questions. Since it’s due on the 15th, I’ll wait just a little longer to see if I can get another transcript with class rank, but according to them that isn’t critical.
