Questions about second bachelors degree in accounting

I am currently a junior and plan to graduate with a major in finance and minor in accounting. I would also like to obtain my degree in accounting but would prefer to do it at another school closer to home (Boston) directly after I graduate. My current GPA for finance and the other non business classes I have taken is 3.6 and I have several extra curricular activities.

My questions are:
Would my credits transfer to another school easily in the boston area? How long would it take to obtain my degree?
What are my chances of getting into a reputable school since it would be for my second degree?
Do universities offer any financial aid for second degree students? (are government loans offered?)

Thanks

why not get a Master’s in accounting?

You might consider just getting your Master’s in accounting. Any Master’s program would have you do any remedial work required to get you up to speed, and you’d avoid all those annoying Bachelor’s requirements. Plus, government loans offered to grad students are much higher than those for undergrad. And a Master’s would look much better than a second Bachelor’s, for probably the same effort.

I agree, get the Masters in Accounting. There are some one year MS Accounting programs (although I don’t know the schools in Boston, you can check around). You need 150 credits to become a CPA so it worthwhile if you want to pursue a career in accounting.
