questions about self studying for ap psychology

i am already taking 3 APs this year but am interested in taking more exams. I have heard psychology is one of the easier AP subjects to self study and do well on. is this true?

Also would I have to purchase a textbook to study, or just a AP prep book if I ended up deciding to self study?

Thanks!

I'm self studying psych too because the majority here say that it's one of the easiest APs and Barrons is the only book you need to use. It's not too bad, just a lot of memorizing.

Honestly, just using Princeton Review, common sense, and word association, with one or two days of a lot of studying (taking the tests as well and memorizing answers) can get you a 4. The MC was very easy--the essays for last years required a little more detail that I couldn't really get at, though, and that was probably what prevented me from getting a 5. This works if you're a pretty good short-term memory person.
