Questions about sending a reference

Hi, I need to find 2 references for a new job. The thing is, this is my first job since graduation so I really have no work experience. Can you ask the professors you did internship with or even a work-study job? I'm just worried they are academic and they've only known me for a few months.

Thanks!

What is asking US going to do? Go ask THEM. They wont bite your head off, I promise. And if they are your only available references their applicability doesn’t really matter, does it?

You should use anyone who can speak to your aptitude, attitude, competency and work ethic. Use the ones who know you best… that could be a close friend, a professor, a TA, an old boss… anybody.

My references were a professor I did research for, a boss from my summer job the years prior to my senior year and the director of the campus group I was in. :)
