Hey guys,
I went to El Lago del Bosque Wilder (Marine on St. Croix, MN) from Concordia Language Villages. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them, as the website can be simply misleading at times.

And I can answer about some of the other languages, as my kids have done several sessions there over the years.

One of he other sections on Concordia above says that the kids in the four week credit course spoke english to each other all day and only the counselors talked in spanish. Was this your experience? If so, it sounds like a bust.

English is definitely there a lot - it’s hardly immersion, but you do learn a lot in the classes.

I think the kids in the high school credit program are more committed than the other campers. My son did the high school credit program last summer after two years of accelerated Spanish in middle school. He learned a tremendous amount from his teacher and counselors. He is comfortable speaking now and can apply what he learned in his first two years. He was able to test out of third year Spanish so he is in AP/IB 4th year Spanish as a 9th grader. He is one of the strongest students in his class. He won’t be taking the AP Spanish language test this May but he will definitely take it in 2012. He loved Lago del Bosque and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Which location did he go to?

You might know him as Camillo.
