I just found out I got accepted into CALS for the Spring Semester. I was wondering if anyone else from here is going to be transfering this spring. Also, is Spring transfer very uncommon does any one know anyone else that has done it or has any advide? I just got an email I didnt even get the letter of accpetance yet so I am pretty clueless about where i even would be staying at. If anyone has any pointers id appreciate some advice.

for housing, try staying at the Transfer Center. It's a very social dorm, and you'll make friends very easy. They reserve a few spots for spring transfers, so call housing ASAP and try to get a spot!

Are there going to be alot of other spring transfers at the transfer center. In other words is this where all the transfers stay at or does anybody stay there

it's only transfer students at the TC. Not all choose to live there, but IMO, it's the easist to make new friends in as everybody there was in your shoes at one point or another.

i'm trying to transfer into ILR for spring....havent heard back yet. i'm thinking about moving into the TC, but might move right into my frat's house there. it'd be kinda awkward not knowing anybody though.

I just called Cornell and they said that when I recieve my acceptance letterthey will assign me housing and it might not be TC. Is there anyway I can change this?

ask them. duh ;)

I did and they said no. I was seeing if anybody knew a way to change that since gomestar was implying that transfers had a choice.

well, there's no way to ensure the dorm you want ... even i coudl only hope to be place in the transfer center. Just see what you get and perhaps you can partition to live in the TC if you really want to.
