Teaching was something i've always had in the back of my mind but now more than ever its starting to have a more realistic appeal, anyway I have a couple of questions and hopefully someone can help me out. First, I was wondering how competitive the job market is especially for the elite private boarding schools and the better public schools, do they normally hire inexperienced teachers or is it more common to start out in a city school. Also, which schools pay better private or public? Assuming I will need a masters, how does all of that work, I start without it and work towards it while teaching and does the school pay for it or do I? And finally, what would be the best preparation for a summer teacher like summer job/ internship wise? I was thinking along the lines of tutoring, camp counselor any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
