For the first two questions, do we need to explain ourselves at all, or do we just list in a few words what they ask us to? Also, are we just supposed to repeat ourselves from the common app on our awards and activities section? I noticed theres a spot for AMC12 and AIME scores. Mine are 110 on the AMC12 and 20 on the AIME. I know theyre a bit low, so should I send them in, or are they going to hurt me? And we can still send in a seperate resume through the common app, right?

20 on the AIME?!?! I think you mean 2. It's not possible to get a 20.

Im guessing he meant the equivalent index score since your AIME score is multiplied by 10.

I'm also confused about the overlap of the supplement and common application. Since everybody uses both forms, it would seem they want us to fill out different awards/activities, not just copy(why would they want to read the same information twice?).

Curses. Why, oh why did Caltech switch to the common app?

Yeah, hey I'm wondering about this as well. Why ruin something that was so beautiful? Why submit to the faceless borg? Ben Golub?

the caltech common app supplement is pretty long compared to other schools. there are numerous short answers and still an essay and the box

check it out:

it's still pretty awesome

Did the decision to move over to the Common App come before the Admissions Committee(s)?
