hi all
I have posted a topic 2 days ago asking few questions ,now I have more questions and I need your help to get the answers.
if 2 universities are accredited by the ABET for engineering "EE",would the transfer process be hard?? don't they have the same basic standards for EE program??
does every university have its own program?! or there would be few differences between two accredited univs??

best regards;

Difficulty to transfer depends on the university. The actual programs for engineering vary majorly by school, but all have relative pre reqs. Expected by second year is guaranteed chem 1, physics 1 and 2, calc 1-3 and either diff eq, liberal algebra, or multi variable calc. This varies by school but that’s a pretty good general consensus, also probably an intro to engineering course and maybe programming for engineers. As you get into upperclassmen though, the programs become much different by the school. Some offer more specialized concentrations as opposed to a general degree, and some combine degrees (common example is EE + CE for an ECE degree) so be sure you like the program of the school you transfer to

It depends. But yes, a lot of schools have their own curriculum so if you transferred and the classes did not line up exactly you would have to request for the school to look over the syllabus and petition for it to be accepted. I had to do this with a few classes when I transferred.

thanks a lot for your reply.

do you mean that you can take the classes you have missed before continuing the program??

I have 1 more question please :
the Ohio state univ tuition for international students is 26$ k per year,and for Ohio resident 10-12 $ k annually , will I be considered as a resident after spending 1 year in Ohio?? or I will be always treated as an international student and will have to pay the 26 k??

from your experience with universities guys, is there much differences between OSU and CSU??

best regards;

I assume you are an international student to begin with? Look up the requirements that OSU has for residency. Most likely you would still be an international student because you would need some means of establishing residency first. Either way, look it up. I am sure a quick Google search will get you that answer.
