Questions about Trinity....

So I am intersested in Trinity, but have a few questions...
1) How Ghetto is Trinity (I have heard both that is is safe, and that you can't even leave campus without being beaten and mugged, which is more true)?

2) How bad is the drinking at Trinity? I would like to go to a school that has social avenues other than just drinking on the weekends as I am not a drinker. I PR correct when they put it on the list of schools with lots of hard liquor?

3) How does Trinity do in grad school placement?

4) Is double majoring doable?

5) Is it similar to Tufts(academically, socially, etc)? I have seen it compared in college guides as being similar, and as Tuft is my current #1 choice, I am seeking other similar schools.

anyone out there?

I am from Michigan also. My daughter just entered as a freshman. The area around the campus is clearly lower income but it looks nothing like the area around, for example, Penn. Trinity is in a city and you just have to be careful. There are drinkers on all campuses; you will find plenty of non-drinkers at Trinity. Campus has become much more diverse over the past few years. Small classes. Beautiful campus. High academic standards.

Martin48, i sent you a pm. Would love to know how your D is finding Trinity. My D is going down for an interview next Saturday.

So far my daughter is feeling incredibly at home. She has made many friends. She is taking 4 courses and none have more than 15 students in them. She is enjoying all her classes. We are very happy with her transistion to college. We like her freshman seminar (redoing famous historic trials) and like that all of the students in that class live on her dorm floor and one is her roomate. In addition, the professor is her advisor and a senior helping the professor also lives on her floor.

I'm a sophomore and I can tell you that the surrounding area isn't great but it's definitely walkable during the day, granted there's not much to walk to you within the adjacent blocks around campus. But downtown is 10 min away and Little Italy is just as close, and they're great places for restaurants and caf
