Questions about UBC

Hi,
So I just applied to UBC. I know that its a great school academically and I think going to college in Vancouver would be awesome. But I have some concerns. First of all, will all of the classes be big lecture halls, do I have to wait until my junior or senior year to be in some small classes? Also, I know the undergrad population is huge, so is there anything that separates students that makes it have more of a community feel? (like colleges or something).
How easy is it to take classes outside of your major or to do interdisciplinary studies? I’m leaning towards pre-med, but I’d also like to learn about finance/economics in case I want to go into health care management.

Thanks in advance!
