Questions about UC Application (and Grades/Transcripts)

When one inputs grades into the UC Application, does one omit the +/- for grades?

In addition, if one’s school uses +/- system for altering grades, does UC admissions re-evaluate the GPA? (UC GPA?)

When one inputs names of courses into the UC Application, does one put the official College Board title (e.g. AP English Composition and Literature) or does one input the name of the course as it appears on one’s transcript (e.g. AP English Lit or Adv. Place. Lit)?

Also, when the (whoever) evaluates the final transcript, do they consider information mentioned in the third UC essay and in the provisional admissions contract? I’m sure this would erase any confusion. Those who evaluate transcripts only consider the A-G courses, correct? (For instance, I have some P grades for homeroom and for some state tests that eliminated some graduation requirements - they appear as S’s or P’s for ‘satisfactory’ and for ‘pass’.)

When one submits the final transcript, does one receive confirmation about the transcript already being verified and cleared?

Well as for your grades the UC system does not care about +/- and they will re-evaluate your GPA. For entering the names of the courses I would enter in the name as it appears on your school transcript.

^ Thanks...

what UC's are u planning on applying too

Actually I was already accepted to one and I was just worried about the information I provided since I didn't print out my UC application and I wanted some clarification (hence my questions regarding sending in final transcripts). I failed to work out this around the time I applied and it just occurred to me that I might have erred.

On other note, I sent in additional notes of explanation for my transcript (in regards to the aforementioned). Thanks for your replies. (And yeah I know I'm worrying excessively but I just want to end the waiting and confirmation process.)

In other words, I'm just trying to clear all bases.

yah your fine, if you made a minor mistake they dont really care. Dont worry about it
