Questions about UC Davis' TAA

<p>Hey guys, quick question: </p>

<p>I'm going to enroll at De Anza in Cupertino this fall and was wondering about the TAA plan: it specifies that students who had previously attended any UC's and left in bad academic standing, are ineligible.</p>

<p>Four years ago I attended a state college in Oklahoma and was dismissed due to poor grades (I had lots going on then - took care of my son & ailing grandmother + abusive relationship among other things - I've turned things around now). </p>

<p>If I were to meet the grade requirements, would I still be eligible for the Transfer Admission Agreement for UC Davis? </p>

<p>Would my previous atrocious GPA be calculated into my new GPA at De Anza or will I start from a clean slate? </p>

<p>There's two thigns that will affect you:</p>

<p>1) I'm almost certain your old GPA will factor into your overall transfer GPA.
2) If you have over 80 semesters units of combined community college and 4 year university credit, you will be disqualified from the TAA. So make sure not to go over 80 units.</p>
