Questions about UCD/UCB psych honors program and admissions

Assuming you meet the GPA requirements for UCB (3.5 overall & 3.5 upper division) and UCD (3.5 in lower division major requirements + upper division & top 8%/12% GPA) psychology honors courses, how difficult is it to get in? Are they highly selective or do they just allow most applicants into the program?

On a related note, is the honors/highest honors (summa/magna cum laude) GPA for UCs based on only your classes taken at the UC or does it also include CC classes in your overall GPA? I'm assuming it's just your GPA at the UC but I just wanted to make sure.

Unrelated to the honors program, but will the number of classes you plan on taking during Winter/Spring quarters affect your admissions chances? I've finished all my transfer requirements so I don't plan on taking many classes during Winter or Spring.

For the second part of your first question concerning honors w/ graduation:

Honors awarded are based ONLY on UC units. Your CC GPA will not be transfered over. (so you are correct =))

Probably not. Just take 12 units or above to remain a full time student just in case.

That’s what I thought, thanks for the response. I actually plan on taking exactly 12 units for both Winter/Spring.

If anyone knows anything about the Psychology Honors courses any help would be greatly appreciated!
