Hello,
I’m a transfer for Fall 2017. Im looking to see if anyone here is in or knows anything about the film program at UCSD? (I know the major isn’t called film but potato, patata right?). I haven’t been admitted yet but I think I have a fair chance. I’m not local but I’m in state with a degree and average GPA. Anyways, I’ve gotten accepted into SFSU, CSUF, and CSULA so far so I was just wondering out of these schools and UCSD, how does their program match up to others? I’m leaning towards CSUF since it is a decent program and I could stay in my current residence. However, San Diego is my dream city to live in but I don’t want to fork out the cash if the program isn’t worth my time. SDSU isn’t an option because the way their program works is that you initially get accepted to the program as a trial period then submit a portfolio after 15 units. Just can’t afford to take an even bigger risk than Im already taking for my major.
