Questions about UF.

I'm so conflicted about college. Part of me doesn't want to go to UF because everyone from my school goes there. I want to go up north, and have the academic means, but I'm most likely going to have to get a ton of loans if I do. I want to go to grad school up north, no matter what, so it's just more expenses.

The honors college sounds interesting. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Also, is Gainesville as bad as I thought it was the time I visited a few years ago? I mean I was a lot younger, but it seemed pretty in the middle of nowhere. I was born there, haha, so maybe I should have some more birthplace loyalty.

How are the girls at UF? Do serious relationships or random hookups prevail?

What are drinking and drugs like on the campus?

Local music scene?

I have a few pros if I decided to go to UF. My mom said she would buy me my own apartment (she really wants me to be close to home, since I'm their only child) and they'd get me a new car (nice one, haha). It sounds really fun, but I don't know if it's worth selling out on possibly going up north to a great LAC or an ivy school.

Tough choices.

Try to sell me on UF.

gainesville is kinda in the middle of nowhere, but its a college town and you wouldnt be bored. jacksonville and orlando arent that terribly far away anyways. how are the girls? UF is one of the biggest schools in the country aka theres tons of girls. depending on what kinda music you like the scene is incredible. im personally into punk and gainesville has produced some of the best bands around like less than jake and against me.

gainesville is also where Fueled By Ramen started
