Questions about University of Delaware (UD)

I visited UD this weekend and loved it. I was wondering if a current student who goes to UD can answer some of these questions?

  1. Is it true that for guys you cannot have a social life (go to parties) unless you are in a frat? I was told this by multiple students.
  2. Are freshman dorms without AC THAT bad?
  3. Is it easy to get the classes you want?

I am a current freshman so these answers are first hand.

  1. Yes, freshman guys have an extremely hard time getting into parties unless they are in a frat or sport team. Sophomore year is easier when you know people with apartments and houses.
  2. Although I do not live in a dorm without AC, I hear they are pretty bad the first few weeks of school. It was really tough, but now it is fine. Definitely not a reason to not go to the school.
  3. I had no problem getting the classes I wanted and don’t know anyone who really had this issue.

Come to UD!! It was the best decision I have ever made.
