I don't actually live in Texas currently, but I am a Texas resident (military dependant) and I just found out that I could go to college at UT for free if I was accepted.

I'm already familiar with the 10% thing. I also know that now, only 75% of the students UT admits can be "10%ers" lol.

I'm really interested in the broadcast journalism program. I was looking at the website and it said that only a certain number of students (42) are admitted each year to that specific course of study,so I'm guessing I have to apply to RTF first and then apply to the broadcast program.

Currently, I would say that I'm an average/above average student, depending on your standards. I have taken just about every honors course available to me freshman and sophomore year, and I'm taking my first AP this year (I'm a junior). I've never had below a C in anything. I was a varsity cheerleader for two years, and by the time I apply, I should be editor in chief of my high school's newspaper. I've been singing in choir for about 2 years now, 3 when I graduate. I am a member of my schools book club, and president/founder of the Writer's Club. I am also a volunteer reading tutor.

As far as test scores go, my school only offers the ACT, and I know for a fact I'm going to get above a 27 on that.

What are my chances? Also, if I'm mistaken abou any part of the program, please correct me.

Thanks in advance!
