hey on the vanderbilt app they just use the common app, and on their supplement i didn't see any additional essays, so all i need to submit is the 2 essays in the common app and im done? I would love it if that were true, no essays!

Also about vanderbilt, is it a good school if im aspiring to go into business or law-school?

It really depends upon where you want to practice. Here in the South, employers seeing Vandy on a resume is akin to HYPS in other parts of the country. In fact, in many cases here Vanderbilt is considered preferable to say UChicago, Dartmouth, WashU, or Columbia b/c its so much more recognizable.

i think you're right OP as they made some small changes in the app this year

"in many cases here Vanderbilt is considered preferable to say UChicago, Dartmouth, WashU, or Columbia b/c its so much more recognizable."

i'm pretty sure it's safe to say that in the southeast...it's more preferable in every case to those schools

but let's not start saying vandy is a regional school either. while the majority of alums were at least from the southeast if not still living there (hell, why would you leave it?), it's a name that ring bells for business and law throughout the union

what about for medicien?
I'm going for ENGAGE

and yes, the Vandy app is one of my easiest apps. No essays on their supplement, just the 2 on the common app. But if you apply for scholarships, you will have to write other essays
