questions about work study

<p>I was offered work study for the first time this year but I'm a bit confused on how it works. If anyone who's had work study at UCSD can answer that'd be great! </p>

<li>I've never had a job before, will it be hard to find a work study job? </li>
<li>My award is $2000, does this mean I get $2000 in addition to the job's wages or can I only make up to 2000? </li>
<li>If I can only make $2000 do I get laid off afterwards?</li>

<p>You don’t need work study to get a job. Mine was offered 2 jobs without work study. However, if you do have work study then it applies first, maybe some jobs give you priority. You don’t get laid off when you reach $2000.</p>
