So recently I had been invited to apply to WOW by williams college. Does this happen to most people? Or do most people find out about WOW through other means? I had not known about Williams college until I received their invitation so I am pretty new to everything. </p>
<p>Also I know it says its free. Does that mean I pay for transportation to get to MA?</p>
<p>WOW is a program designed to recruit high school students with underprivileged backgrounds–especially racial minorities, b/c not enough apply to Williams to allow the admissions office to achieve its diversity goals. (They contacted you specifically b/c they thought you might not have known about Williams.) The program should cover all expenses, including transportation (e.g. round trip plane tickets to and from the Albany airport.) A van usually picks you up and drives you to the college from there. </p>
