Questions and Chance

<p>If Im totally undecided like I have no idea whatsoever as to what I should do, should I apply to stern undecided or arts and sciences? And if I apply to arts and sciences, how tough would it be to transfer to stern if I choose to?</p>

<p>Here's your dilemma---with your stats--assuming you write pretty solid essays---you have a pretty good shot at CAS, and a less of a shot at Stern. That being said, even if you get into CAS, it's very tough to internal transfer into Stern. Yet, if you get into Stern, it's very easy to transfer into CAS. So you can either take the chance with internal transfer, or take the chance with admissions.</p>

<p>How tough to transfer from cas to stern? </p>

<p>Stern people typically I guess (and these are totally ballpark cause admission at NYU is certainly not a perfect numbers game) have anywhere from a 2100 SAT and up, and a 3.6 gpa and up. Typically people tend to sport a 2200-2300 and 3.7-3.9 gpa.</p>
