Questions before i enroll.

For the deposits i have to pay when i enroll (i think 500 tuition and 1000 dorms) those would get taken out of freshman tuition and housing costs right? like if tuition is 45,000 then after the deposit it would be 44,500, and the same with dorms, right? Also, are there any expenses i should know about before i enroll?

bump

Correct, deposits are taken off the top of the tuition

Yes, the deposits count toward tuition and housing costs. As for the tuition, there are usually fees as well that may already be included in the totals you already have. I would do a google search for tuition and fees at NYU to check.

Non-included expenses to be aware of: food (if you plan to cook), restaurants, transportation if you need to go places (subway is $2.50 a ride), textbooks

@jazzcatastrophe‌ So im about to enroll now. I have to accept all the fin aid first right? then accept the offer of admissions? then pay the 500 tuition thing (which will be deducted from tuition once my financial aid comes in?)? then the same with the 1000 housing thing (which will be deducted from my housing costs once my financial aid comes in?)?

Not sure about the order of accepting aid and accepting the admissions offer, but the tuition and housing deposits do go towards tuition and housing costs respectively
