Questions concerning a math major

Ok so I applied as an EA. I intend to do pre-med, but i dont wanna major in Bio or Chem. Instead i want to major in math. Specifically, i want to major in Applied Mathematics. I always thought that i would just enter as a “math major” and chose a course once im taking classes, however at some other schools im applying to (such as Northwestern and Vanderbilt) applied mathematics is its own major.

My concerns are over if applied mathematics is a major, or program, or what ever you want to call it at Boston College. Does anyone have any idea?

BC offers both a BA and a BS in math. It sounds like the BS would be better suited for you.

But if you can’t find enough math courses to your liking, you can cross-register (at BU, Tufts or Brandeis, I believe).
