Questions Concerning Private Four-Year University to UCLA/Cal

Hey everyone!

I currently attend Loyola Marymount University and will be applying as a transfer to USC, UCLA, and UC Berkely. USC has made it extremely easy to find out how to transfer. However, I am very confused with how to transfer to the UCs. I understand that it's more difficult to transfer to a UC from a private four year, but I'm up for the challenge.

My biggest problem is that there's a huge deficit of information and transfer programs for four-year college students who want to go to a UC. I'm left with a few questions.

First, does anyone know where I can attend an information session about transferring to UCLA? (Most are solely for CCC students.) Second, do the UCs first figure out which courses will transfer and then consider how many prerequisites are completed? In other words, will I be admitted before they figure out which courses will transfer? I'm worried that I will finish all the Prerequisites and Recommended Courses but will learn that half of them won't transfer and therefore won't be considered.

Has anyone actually done a private four-year to UCLA/Cal? What were your stats? What was your niche?

Also: I will be applying to all schools as an Economics-Mathematics or Mathematics-Economics major. I should have a 3.8-4.0 GPA.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I truly appreciate the help.
