Hello, I have been admitted to IIT and it is one of the schools I am considering on attending with Computer Science as my major. I have a few questions/concerns about enrollment deposit/the area. If I wish to mail out a check, does it have to be received by you guys physically by May 1 or is there a penalty for it being late? Also, I know that IIT is around the South Side area and wish to know how safe it is there since I will be commuting there by CTA Red Line bus and train.
As far as I know, there is no penalty for the check arriving later than May 1. May is the National Decision Day but we always have a number of students committing after that.
