<p>Also, if you decide to take it over the semester, it is pretty much an online course. Just don’t be lazy and do the week’s assignment before your scheduled class so you don’t have to go and waste your time in it.</p>
<p>@ccsdavt, Thanks for letting us know! My friend at CMU said you have to take during the year so I guess he just wasn’t aware of the new policy. I’ll probably take it during the summer now since I’m planning to take at least 47 units during 1st semester.</p>
<p>Prior to a couple of years ago, the course wasn’t online and was actually a mandatory twice-weekly class that you needed to go sit in for an hour. You weren’t allowed to browse the internet and had to listen to someone literally reading the material from the website to you. That might be what your friend was thinking of. It was pretty ****ty.</p>

<p>I’m guessing this is the new version of the Computing Skills Workshop they’re doing now. Do they still teach you how to write a formula in Excel?</p>
<p>(Best thing out of the class is how to subscribe to misc.market. It pretty much got everyone on campus to read & subscribe.)</p>
