Questions for anyone who's lived in a dorm at HSU?

I just found out that I have a single in the Canyon.

How big is it? Is there a kitchen I can use in the building? Anything that I need to know?

Thanks!

Hey there! I’m in the Canyon as well this year, in Maple. Each building has a kitchen, storage area, laundry room, and a TV/ study lounge on the first floor. When I was at HSU for orientation this summer, I stayed in the dorms, and the single’s are decent sized, with plenty of room for one person. My roomies and I stayed in our four person suite for the 3 days of orientation, and explored a bit. One bathroom per floor, 3 showers per bathroom, and there’s around 15-20 people per floor. I’d be happy to answer any other questions, hopefully this helped.

Thanks!

During the orientation, I was in a triple and I thought it was really cramped. I’m so glad I got a single! I explore the building much while I was there (wish I would have).

Do you know what we’re supposed to use to hang things on the wall (like posters)? I’m assuming not push pins…?

So, it appears I’m a little late in responding, haha, sorry about that. Move in on Tuesday! Woo!

Anyways, when it comes to wall hangings, I believe there are putties and other tape products that are allowed. As far as I know, it’s okay to use as long as no paint is removed from the walls, and no holes are made.
