Hi,

For all of you who got accepted out of high school, did you send your senior year first semester grades in? Did you take AP English in high school?

I am planning my son's pathway.

Thank you!

Hi,

For all of you who got accepted out of high school, did you send your senior year first semester grades in? Did you take AP English in high school?

I am planning my son's pathway.

Thank you!

I did send in my first semester grades. 4 A’s 1 B in 5 AP classes.
I took AP language my junior year, but did not take AP literature my senior year.

And no, I don’t think either of those aspects made a significant difference on my preferred admission.

and no, you probably shouldn’t be worrying too much about these things and planning your son’s path. Just make sure he’s keeping high grades, staying involved, and writes a hell of an essay. I think Ross values yield pretty highly, so show that he’s really committed to Ross.

I did not do either actually. I sent my first marking period but not my first semester. I took every other AP class but English.

When I applied I thought it was standard to submit midyear grades. You can take the English AP without actually taking the formal class in HS. It’s not much different than English sections of standardized tests like the ACT.
